The little boy inside of him

Is struggling for control.

Although he tries to act grown-up

His youth has taken it's toll.

He has such boundless energy.

He is always on the go.

To be a rock star is his dream.

But he doesn't know where to go.

He rambles, playing "air guitar".

To every song he hears.

His voice as good as any star,

But he's singing to the air.

He has so many things to do,

So many place to be.

Thank God I like to do it too

And he always includes me.

The little boy inside of him

Is striving for control.

And I'll be there right beside him

To play the proper role.

I'll listen, talk, encourage him

And help him find the way

To reach the star he's aiming for

And guide him on the way.
