We didn't plan on three children.

But life is what happens when you make other plans.

Along came Kevin to bring us back down to earth.

What a joy he was when he was born.

Everyone loved him

He was sweet, gentle, no trouble at all.

But at age 2 1/2 he had a terrible fall.

His chance of survival was less than 10 percent

Unless he came out of his 3 week coma.

Once again we called upon God

To grant us another miracle.

He heard our prayers and healed us all.

After his accident, epilepsy was the result.

Mild cerebral palsy too, but nobody's fault.

He spent 7 weeks in the hospital.

He spent 3 weeks in intensive care.

I learned all the therapy, took time off of work.

Our lives changed forever,

But not for the better.

His father couldn't handle a handicapped child

So we went separate ways.

I assumed the responsibility for 24 long years.

Through surgery, therapy, SSI, and many tears.

Raising him alone and on my own all that time

With the help from Kim and Brian to keep us going.

Watching others stare like they'd

Never seen anyone disabled before.

But God sent his angels to always be with us

And Now it's paid off.
